Argh...I'm goin up to Tahoe this weekend (from tomorrow afternoon until either late Sunday or early Monday), so I've got to have something to post for tomorrow AND Monday. I'm halfway done with tomorrow's, but if I can't think of something good for Monday...well, let's just say I've got a little trick up my sleeve...

In his last rant, Piro (of Megatokyo fame) talks about the different "modes" of his comic. He says that there's the normal characters, doing their normal (or relatively normal) thing, and then there's the Naze Nani (similar to behind the scenes) mode, then there's the video game ones, and then...

You get the picture. There's lots of modes. So this sent me to thinking, and wondering about the different modes of vots. Sure, we've got the relatively normal mode, with the Jolt Saga, and the angel stuff. In fact, the comic was basically this, except for the quick behind the scenes strip I did once. But recently, I've completely shattered the fourth wall.

quick definition: in acting, there are three visible walls to the stage. but the actors pretend that there is a fourth wall, the one that separates them from their audience. it keeps the actor's character from going "hey! what are all dem people doin out there?!?". In comics, breaking the fourth wall has become a sort of art form, perfected in part by PvP, but exploited mercilessly by damonk, of Framed! fame.

Now, I was planning on not breaking the fourth wall. I had been doing a pretty good job, too. But when my lazy arse didn't get around to making 4 strips for my trip to Hawaii in time, I had to, since it was too damned difficult to figure out good strips. So ever since, vots has been floating in a murky haze, with lots of non-storyline strips, and as I have said time and time again, very PennyArcadelike. So my modes have become scattered, along with any hope that my comic would make sense and be a respectible member of the net society. But I'm *trying* to get it back on track, but the fact that I'm wasting precious hours blabbing on here doesn't help.

I'm such a bust-a-manic. Or is bust-a-move-a-holic better?

Well, I just (well, an hour ago) got back from the local WUSA game, women's soccer. Go CyberRays! But still, our beloved Bay Area team lost to San Diego. Oh well. I'm wondering if there is a huge discrepancy between the men's and women's soccer attendance. The US Women's team has been so much more successful than the men's you'd almost think that there would be more @ the women's games, but then again, they're women's games. I'm not being sexist, but you know that's how things go with sports. Oh well.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about summer so far, I'm experiencing large quantities of amnesia regarding school. Also, Bust-a-Move and 2 of my Love Hina mangas came, and NOT number one. ::grumble grumble grumble::

Finally finished today's strip, now I gotta write my....RANT! oh JOY! This is so much easier than the damned HTML thing, so don't be surprised if I follow everyone else and start using this as my main rant-a-ma-jig. Now if only it could work WITH keenspace....

Ya know, I'm really mad at UPS/the Postal Service/FedEx and everyone else involved in me getting everything I've ordered recently. As of now, I should have:

A Superosity comic book
3 Love Hina mangas
A Love Hina poster
Super Bust-a-Move for the PS2

And I have NONE of this. It can be quite frustrating waiting for the mailman to come every day. And in fact, I know my UPS package is right over a range of hills in Oakland, just SITTING there. The supposed "3-day express" is taking 5 days, at least.

Sometimes, I don't think having Mana do that column on my forum is a very good idea.

Then again, she threatened to blow up me, my family, and my dog, so I might as well let her do as she wants to.

Bleh...it's too early to be on the computer, posting a blog. What's that? Oh, of course, I'm sorry, it's NEVER too early to be posting a blog! Ha ha ha ha ha! Anyhoo, I'm off to work in a few minutes, and I get to come home and write a...

::drumroll for the second entry in a rowwwww...::

COMIC! I'm pretty sure I got my idea for tomorrow down pat. Actually, I've got several ideas, and I don't think I'm going to use any of them, in lieu of an idea I just got. Aren't I the model of procrastination? Well, at 11:30 tonite, when I finish my comic, then you'll be sure of it.

Well folks, here's my 'blog (weblog, for those non-l33t of us), let's see if anything happens here or not. The main reason I wanted something like this was the infrequency of the main crackatalk on the homepage, I'd like to be able to write MORE, whenever I WANT to. Okay, be gone with thee.
