I just finished watching Magnolia... it's an odd movie. It doesn't have a clear beginning, middle or end, and it doesn't take you all the way from point A to point B, but still, it's incredibly satisfying yet unsatisfying. It's an ensemble character study that relies heavily on the acting strength of the players, who include William H. Macy, Julianne Moore and Tom Cruise (yes, Tom Cruise). I think I'm gonna go ponder for a while, now.
